PENS DROP FIRST PRESEASON CONTEST; PREP FOR SECOND

JakeFree agent signing Garrett Wilson recorded both goals and dropped the gloves as the Pittsburgh Penguins fell to the Detroit Red Wings, 4-2, on Tuesday night at the Joe Louis Arena.  It was the Pens’ first preseason game of 2016 for both squads.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton was well-represented in the contest, with 15 players who suited up for the AHL club last season taking part in the game.

The Penguins are back in action tonight when they take on the Chicago Blackhawks at the United Center.  Puck drop is scheduled for 8:30pm, and fans can listen to the game via the Pittsburgh Penguins app, or online at 105.9 the X.

Once again, Pittsburgh’s lineup will be feature more than a few faces familiar to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton fans.  Tonight’s roster:
