Ben Ferriero spent the first three seasons of his pro career traversing the path between Worcester and San Jose. The Phoenix Coyotes drafted the Boston College grad in the seventh round in 2006, but did not sign the forward, allowing him to catch on with the Sharks instead.
The right wing from Essex, Ma appeared in 92 games with San Jose between 2009-12, posting 22 points (14+8) in NHL action. He also made 121 appearances with Worcester, recording 103 points (44+59).
He signed a one-year, two way contract with Pittsburgh prior to the 2012-13 season, but never saw time swimming in the three rivers. Instead, he appeared in 34 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, picking up 18 points (4+14) before being dealt to the New York Rangers for Chad Kolarik on January 24, 2013.
